Your Questions Answered

Understanding your landscaping materials and how to use them effectively can make all the difference in your projects. At Sides Trucking, we're here to clear up any confusion and help you plan with confidence. Below, you'll find answers to some of the questions we hear most often from our valued customers:

Understanding Cubic Yards

Ever wondered what exactly is a cubic yard? It's a standard unit of measurement in landscaping, representing a volume that's 3 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 3 feet high - equal to 27 cubic feet. This measurement is crucial for bulk materials like mulch or topsoil, helping you buy exactly what you need.

Calculating Your Needs

Not sure how much material you need? For regular-shaped areas, it's straightforward. For those tricky, irregular shapes, estimate the average length, width, and depth, reach out. We're here to make it easy.

DIY Pickup

Prefer to haul your materials? You're welcome to pick up your order during business hours, 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Saturday. Just give us a quick call before you come. Note: We can’t load vehicles with camper tops due to safety concerns.

Vehicle Capacity

How much can your truck handle? It varies by the truck's size and the material's weight. A standard half-ton pickup truck usually fits up to 2 cubic yards of lighter materials like mulch. Heavier materials? You'll fit less. Need clarity? Just ask us.
